Newborn Photography Maryland – Gallery of some of the many newborn images that Jodie has photographed over the years.  She welcomes all your ideas.  Please let her know before the session if there are any special images you wish to have.  A typical newborn gallery of images from  your newborn session will include sleeping curled images with and without wraps as well as some images with parents and/or siblings, and hopefully a little awake time as well.  Your final gallery of images will be at least 30 different images (color and black and white copies will make 60).  It is best for newborns to be photographed during the first two weeks, so please contact to be placed on the schedule as a floating session time (which will change as due date approaches or with baby’s arrival.

Jodie’s first priority is your baby’s safety and wants her clients to know that she uses her editing and retouching skills to create PhotoShop composites when necessary.  There are current worries in the newborn photography industry because many new photographers are not aware that PhotoShop is used to create certain images where baby looks like he/she may be in a precarious position.  Sometimes it can take up to five images to be merged into one to create the image that you see.  Read more about newborn composites in our baby safety articles.  Whether you use Jodie for your newborn portraits or another photographer, please speak up if you ever see a photographer working with your baby in a way that you do not approve.  You are the parent and have the authority to just say no.  If you have any questions or would like to know more about newborn photography, please send a message to [email protected]
